Understanding Absolute (ABS) Formula
The ABSOLUTE function in Excel returns a number’s absolute value i.e negative numbers are converted to positive numbers, but positive numbers are unaffected.
For example : -5 will be converted to +5 but +5 remains +5 only. Any negative value will be converted to positive value while positive value remains same.
Syntax of Absolute (ABS) formula
The syntax of the ABS function is as follows:
=ABS(Value 1)
You can also get absolute value of value in cell by:
=ABS(C3)
Here you will get absolute value of the cell C3.
