Understanding AVERAGEIFS Function
AVERAGEIFS is a function for calculating the average of cells that meet multiple criteria. When corresponding cells meet criteria, AVERAGEIFS can be used to average values. AVERAGEIFS supports logical operators (>,<,<>,=) and wildcards (*,?) for partial matching.
Syntax of AVERAGEIFS function
The syntax of the AVERAGEIFS function is as follows:
=AVERAGEIFS (average_range, range1, criteria1, [range2], [criteria2], …)
Note: AVERAGEIF is used to match single criteria while AVERAGEIFS is used to match multiple criteria.
